1961 was the third season for North Shore Gang Show and the first as a fully registered Show.  The registration process required audio recordings being sent to London for Ralph Reader to review and ultimately approve the registration.  Four performances at Westlake High School.

1959 Show

1959 was the very first North Shore Gang Show.  This was the first “Gang Show” in Auckland, New Zealand, and on the evening of 12 September 1959, the North Shore Scout Gang Show began a two night season with a cast of 57 Boys and 7 Leaders. The Saturday night performance was held at Takapuna Grammar School and the Monday night performance at the now non-existent “555” Theatre in Browns Bay. The stated intention was to raise funds for a scout campsite on the North Shore. Today “Camp Maynard” at Albany is a living testimony to the fact that those objectives have been met.
